Nothing quite like it…
…and thank god for that!
We’re pregnant with a 1 cm, 1 ounce somewhat human looking little sprite. We had our first ultrasound today and were able to see the babie’s heart beating, it was amazing. I feel much more confident now. I guess seeing really is believing. They also measured the baby and told us that we are 7 weeks and 1 day pregnant, which puts the baby’s due date on October 1, 2007, one day before our 3 year wedding anniversary.
Now that my body and mind are much in agreement, they’ve also decided to unite and conspire against me. I’m so tired I could be clinically diagnosed as narcoleptic, nodding off in restaurants and meetings. I’m so hungry “I-could-eat-an-elephant” strikes atleast 3-5 times a day, sometimes leading to full blown crying fits if palatable food is not within arms reach in seconds. Which then usually turns into extreme nausea, which I luckily can usually hold down. Then there’s the pulling feeling on my abdomen, as if it’s stretching to reach the moon before next week. Yup, I’m pregnant and it’s wonderful. Now give me some food and my bed and I’ll be happy.
